OUR MISSION
Chestnut Middle School, TAG provides rigorous, standards-based instructions that accelerates all students’ learning. TAG emphasizes the importance of equity in education through intentional instructional practices, culturally relevant curriculum and by affirming all aspects of student (and staff) identities. At TAG we believe that school should be a joyful place where students, staff and families partner in the spirit of academic excellence.

In partnership with TAG families, Chestnut TAG delivers a high caliber education in a challenging and supportive culture of academic excellence. Students are empowered to be change agents in our school and in their communities.
TAG INSTRUCTIONAL VISION
At TAG we provide rigorous instruction that accelerates student learning. We prepare rigorous lessons through a structured guided planning protocol to ensure that students learn through and beyond the grade level content standards. Every day while students are learning, teachers collect live data (aggressive monitoring) to make immediate instructional adjustments.”
