Drew Vanasse

7TH GRADE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

Mr. Vanasse graduated from Springfield College in May 2014 with a degree in Sport Management, where he developed a passion for helping others through sports and teamwork. In 2016, he completed his Master’s program in School Counseling and Adjustment Counseling at Springfield College, further enhancing his ability to support students' emotional and academic needs.

He began his career at Chestnut TAG Middle School in 2017 as a math teacher, where he built strong connections with students and fostered a positive learning environment. In 2020, Mr. Vanasse transitioned to the counseling department, bringing his experience and dedication to guiding students through their challenges.

Committed to promoting well-being and academic success, Mr. Vanasse ensures that every student feels supported on their journey, empowering them to reach their full potential. His main goal for his students during their three years of middle school is to help them gain independence and take ownership of their academic journeys.

"I wanted to give back to my community and students I relate to. I want to provide an authentic and successful path for the students by investing in our future and providing the most beneficial guidance as possible. "

At TAG, Mr. Salas has felt a great sense of achievement through community building positive relationships with students and their families so we can continue to grow our community family
