Hello Chestnut TAG Families. My name is Shauna-Gaye Staine, and I am thrilled to be one of the school counselors here at Chestnut TAG. I will be working alongside Mr. Vanasse (school counselor), together we make the guidance team. I am excited to get to know you, your family, and most importantly your child.
First, I want to tell you a few things about me. I graduated from the High School of Science and Technology here in Springfield. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I then moved on to obtain my Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling Psychology as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Counseling Psychology. I am a licensed School Adjustment Counselor (SAC) and a licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC).
I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to pursue my passion in school counseling at TAG. My hope is that each school year is filled with fun and successful experiences for all students. Please feel free to contact the guidance team with any questions that you may have about the counseling program or if there is anything we can do to help assist you or your student.
